Another day, another walk through the castle locked in her thoughts. It was warm in the halls, but Kaitlynn didn't take off her jacket as she walked. Tiny beads of sweat formed at the nape of her neck, but she ignored it as always. She turned the corner in the hall, and almost ran into someone. "Oh, I'm sorry," she said, with a warm smile hoping that the person wouldn't get upset and start shouting at her as had happened before.

"It's OK." Faith said with a smile. She held out her hand and started "Faith Benedict 6th year Gryffindor. And who would you be?" She asked in her normal friendly low voice.

Kaitlynn took the Gryffindor's hand, and replied with, "Kaitlynn Jacobson, 6th year, Slytherin." She hoped that this Gryiffindor wasn't one of those who heard 'Slytherin' and automatically thought 'evil'. Not all Slytherins were horrible people. Kaitlynn definatly wasn't. "So, uhm..." said Kaitlynn, not really knowing what else to say.

"So your Slytherin? Your probably really going to jump at this. I'm muggleborn and what would you be?" She said this with a smile. She was not one to judge by houses so she hoped Kaitlynn wouldn't either she also hoped she wasn't one to judge on blood status because she would give anything for a different mother.

"Pureblood," replied Kaitlynn. "But, that doesn't matter to me. Unlike with the rest of my family. They're a typical Slytherin family...sadly." Kaitlynn hated her family, she hated what they wanted her to become. She just hated the how the world was at the current time.

She smiled. "Well I'm glad. I would give anything for a new mother though." She said to be humorous. "Your lucky though at least your parents care mine really don't."

Kaitlynn laughed when Faith said that her parents cared. "The only thing my parents care about is that I don't dishonor the family name," said Kaitlynn. "I'm already a disgrace since I refuse to join the Death Eaters."

"Well it's better than having them never talk to you. My mother ignores me day and night and trust me it is not fun at all." She said with a small laugh. "And I think it is good you didn't join the death eaters they are cruel." She said smiling at Kaitlynn. "So she isn't a death eater." She thought.

"I'd RATHER have my parents ignore me," replied Kaitlynn. "Then I wouldn't have to keep up with my facade. It's tiring."
