Transfer Student (Open)

[Shawn Quinn]

Walking up to the large castle Shawn stopped for a moment to have a look at his new home for a year or so he wondered what was about to happen to him in the next few months though he guessed only time would tell. Lifting his bag over his shoulder he opened the front doors and walked into the entrance hall of Hogwarts. Shawn took the time to look around and try to get his bearings right so hopefully he wouldn't lost but most likely he would. He sighed as he stepped forward a little bit as he continued to look around it was nothing like the old castle back in Australia.

[Brooke Summers]

Brooke wondered into the Entrance Hall trying to get away from all her friends who where congratulating her on the 18th but secretly Brooke hated the attention and this was why she was here in the entrance hall. Looking at the boy who was standing there, Brooke raised an eyebrow and approached him with a smile. Standing not that far away Brooke decided to talk to him since he seemed new at the school "Hey" Brooke said with a small wave and took a few steps closer "I'm Brooke Summers and you are?" She asked introducing herself.

Turning around after hearing a voice speak to him Shawn smiled after noticing Brooke. “Hi Brooke I’m Shawn Quinn new transfer student.” Shawn explained as he placed his bag on the floor. Raising his right hand Shawn brushed his hand through his hair as he looked at Brooke. “It’s going to take me some time to get used to this place it’s huge and amazing.” Shawn blushed in embarrassment as he let go a little bit of excitement. Though he excepted that other students; Hogwarts was natural to them. He placed his hands inside his jean pockets as he fell silent waiting for a response.

Brooke flashed him her trademark smile "Pleasure to meet you Shawn" She said looking around before paying full attention to him "I'm sure you'll like the school, it can be good at times but also crap" Brooke told him truthfully "Well if you need help with getting to your classes and such just contact me and I'll happily help but by then you'll probably have new friends to help you" She told him laughing softly at his excitement.

Shawn smiled and laughed. "It's nice to meet you as well Brooke." Shawn replied. "Well this castle is bigger than the one back in Australia." Shawn explained. Shawn laughed again at Brooke's comment. "I'll defiantly come see you." Shawn replied. "Not sure about that one." Shawn laughed. He wasn't that good in making new friends though he guessed things would change after all he was in a new school and all.

Brooke raised both her eyebrows surprised "Oh, your from Australia? Wow you traveled pretty far then." She said. Pushing a piece of her hair behind her ear and stared at him still maintaining her smile "Great" Brooke said happily and then she heard his next comment "Don't worry everybody thinks that but you'll fit in perfectly" She reassured him.

"Yeah born and raised in the good old down under." Shawn laughed. He always wondered where Australia got the nickname from. "Traveled by muggle airplane to get here hence why I'm a little bit late simply because I hate Floo powder. I usually travel one place too fare." Shawn explained his thoughts on Floo powder laughing as he shook his head. Shawn took another looked around the entrance hall for a moment before looking back at Brooke. "Thanks my accent is going to stick out like a swore thumb." Shawn replied again.

Brooke also laughed and listened to him curiously. She had never met anyone from Australia before and quite frankly she adored their accents, unfortunately for Brooke she had the same accent as everyone else around here. Laughing once more Brooke nodded understanding what he meant "Yeah, but that will most defiantly attract people to start talking to you, Everyone loves a newbie." Brooke told honestly and smiled.
