Charging up the staircase, Chris held tightly onto a small envelope as he jumped up the stairs and once he reached the top and wide grin spread across his lips. Whistling loudly Chris looked around for his eagle or should he say his family's eagle. It only took a few moments for the great eagle to swoop into the owlery scaring off most of the other owls, he watched it perch itself on the window ledge with pride as it stared at Chris curiously. "Hey buddy" Chris muttered approaching the eagle pushing the white envelope in front of him and with the wave of his hand the envelope was attached to buddy's leg "The joy's of wandless magic" he muttered to himself. Handing the bird a treat he pushed it off the ledge and it sored through the air bringing the letter home.

Marisa walked into the owlery casually. Her arms to her side. Her hair was curled as usual and her black trousers sat right at her black pointed toe shoes. Her white shirt was flattering and she had a letter in hand. When she walked into the owlery she saw Chris there. She walked up and started to speak. "Hello there Mr. Zabini." She said with a smile. She walked up to a large great horned owl and gave it the letter.

Staring at the figure who also entered the owlery, Chris managed to smile rather brightly. "Hey Professor Brant." He said calmly still managing to smile. The professor was Jennifer's head and he'd always found her nice and also easy going, he'd never once been in trouble with her actually he'd never been in any serious trouble in this school before.

When Marisa was finished with her letter she walked over to Chris. She looked him in the eyes and smiled. "Now tell me Chris what do you think of the other Professor Brant?" She said the word other coldly.

Rather shocked by the professor's question, Chris furrowed his eyebrows curiously "Why?" He asked her but his voice remained calm. Almost every student at Hogwarts knew about the relationship between the two professors and Chris was considering whether to answer the question or not. "He's alright i guess... I've never seemed to be bothered by him but i know a few people who like him and a few who dislike him, it's all rather confusing if you want my opinion." Chris explained to her still wondering why she asked him such a strange question.

"Oh not a significant reason just wanted to know what he was like." She said. "now." she whispered. "How are your studies going?" She asked with a small smile.

Chris laughed quite relieved that his opinion didn't count as anything or was important so he was rather happy to answer her next question, "They are going pretty well. How's the teaching going?" Chris asked her with a smile.

"OK I guess." She said with a small sigh. She looked out the window. She was beginning to get teary again but she tried to hide it.

Staring at the professor, Chris didn't fail to notice that her blue eyes began to water. "Professor? Are you alright?" He said, Chris had heard this particular teacher was emotional at times and he couldn't blame her since he heard what she'd been through over the years. Chris had always been a sucker for girls who cried or was close to crying so he took a step closer to the women and placed a hand on her shoulder trying to comfort her.

"Chris it's really alright." She lied. She never lied but she didn't need to pull another person into her mess of a life."It's not really a factor for children." She said trying to sound serious.

Chris shook his head in disagreement "I'm not a child, that is if you call a seventeen year old guy who will be graduating in a few months a child then...i guess i am a child and i can't help or comfort you even though i know you need to talk to someone." He told her with a shrug and began to turn to leave. But before Chris could exit the owlery he turned to Marisa once more and looked at her "Just to let you know I'm always open to talk to." He said, he had been through alot of things too lately so he could probably relate to a few of her problems.

She stood there tears rolling down her cheeks and she walked up to him. "Well I could tell you about my life but please try not to drag yourself into it." She pleaded. "It's ruined plenty of people's lives besides my own." She took a deep breath and began "Well after I had my son my "father" died. To come to think of it he wasn't really my father he was more like a lifetime friend of my parents. I call him my father because at age 11 right after the first year of Hogwarts my parents just left never to be seen again." She sighed. "They took me in and cared for me. After he died my "mother" was very depressed and wouldn't eat. So I had to take care of her day and night.. I didn't tell my husband because I didn't want my family involved. He thought I was pulling away and he cheated on me. Until one day he just left he said it was because I was way too close to my child but my friend Professor Stuart looked into the matter and found out he was really cheating." She said looking very sad."I told you it was confusing."

Chris listened intently, the story was very similar to the one he heard not that long ago. " Everything will be alright believe me. My parents are going through a divorce at the moment because my dad was actually cheating on my mom with a younger women but he can go to hell for all i care." Chris told her anger in his voice. "But i know that's nothing compared to what you've been through. Here is some advice though, if your ex husband done that to you maybe you should just forget about him and move on." He said with a sympathetic smile.

"I've tried that but he seems to be popping back up. I told him to leave me alone but he kept bugging me saying that he was wrong and he'll never do it again. He doesn't seem to seem that understand." She said with sad eyes. "He said that he broke up with his girlfriend because he still loved me. And now he claims I've gone mad and is going to try and take my child away from me completely." She said angrily this time.

"Let me tell you something, don't believe a guy when he says that, your just wasting your time, if he does it once and you take him back he'll just do it again and think you'll take him back again." Chris warned her. Talking about relationships, Chris began to wonder where Jen was, he hadn't seen her in a couple of days and it made him eager to see her. "I'm sure there is plenty of guys out there but your probably not just looking hard enough." He continued to tell her hoping she'd feel better, "Maybe you should sort out something between both of yous so you both get to see the kid regularly like Aaron gets him one day and you get him the next." Chris suggested, he knew he used professor Brant's first name but considering the young women spoke to him about her problems he thought it was only natural.
