Tory yawned and stretched out beside the lake, black zip-up hoodie underneath her head like a pillow. The sun and slight breeze really felt good against her skin. She just needed to take a little break from classes and studying so this was pretty much the perfect place and opportunity. There wasn't anyone else around just now to bother her so she could just lie back and relax.

Marisa came out of the woods crying she was running. Her hair was askew and her outfit was almost destroyed. Her shoulders were shaking and her tears were heavy.
She was running pretty fast when she saw one of her students. "Shit" she thought to herself as she would never say it aloud. She wiped her tears and approached the student. "Hello Miss Marx." She said with a fake smile.

She opened her eyes and grinned up at Marisa. "Hey Professor." Tory said sitting up. She noticed the House Head looked to be in a bit of a state... and didn't make a very convincing show of trying to seem otherwise.
"What's happened...?" she questioned carefully and with concern.

"Nothing." She almost snapped but controlled her emotion filled train wreck. "I'm perfectly fine." She said with a smile. "How are classes?" She asked with a grin that was still completely fake.
((OOC Sorry it's short))

(OOC: that's fine)
"Uh, they're going great." Tory nodded, not in the least fooled by the grin. But it didn't seem like the professor would give up the information at the moment. "I just figured this would be a good chance to take a break, feels like I haven't done anything apart from study since the year started." A bit of a joke to lighten up the mood - if only a little.

"Well that's good." She said with all her emotions rushing through her and she couldn't control herself. She broke out in tears. She looked up at Victoria. "I'm so sorry." She said with a saddened expression. "I'm having family problems and I wouldn't want to damper a young soul like you." She said with a more believable smile.

Victoria was quickly up on her feet and wrapping an arm around Marisa's shoulders. "Don't apologise professor. But hey, I'm here if ya want to talk or anything. I mean you're there for us all the time. It's high time someone returned the gesture." she said, smiling reassuringly, rubbing her thumb up and down Marisa's shoulder in the way she remembered her mother used to do to help her calm down when she was upset.

She looked down at the ground disappointed that she had a breakdown in front of a student. "Look Victoria it might make you depressed and I don't want you worrying about me. When you are a 40 you have to sort of learn to take care of yourself and trust me I've been doing that longer than you think." she said with a raised eyebrow.

"All right, professor. Just figured you could use some comfort or something." she said, taking her arm back to her side. At least she'd given it a shot, even if Marisa didn't want any help. Hell Victoria had never doubted that the head of Gryffindor wouldn't be able to take care of herself but sometimes everyone needed some kind of comforting company.

She looked around and then looked at Victoria. "So are you having any trouble academically?" She asked with a motherly smile.

"Not really... but I should probably start getting some more sleep or there might be some problems later on." she chuckled. "If anyone thinks that all-nighters do you any good they're wrong... or Nocturnal."
