"For Merlin's sake!" Rachel said exhausted as she waved her hand towards the window's. The first time she walked into this classroom, she could've sworn she was blind but it just happened to be the curtains drooping over the windows which Rachel refused to have. Also opening the windows, Rach smiled contently and pushed her bangs out of her bright eyes. For a women of twenty five years of age, Rachel had been through quite a lot. Being the past Headmistress of Salem's School Of Witchcraft and Wizardry and being engaged twice was something you shouldn't be until you're about thirty or something along that age. Crossing her arms, Rachel made her way to her comfortable seat and began to scribble down the following things she'd be doing today. Starting with preparing classes.

Charlene heard there was a new teacher at Hogwarts and she always liked to give them a friendly greeting. She walked over to her door and knocked. Her long curly hair was very shiny today and her blue eyes were the clearest ever. She had a pair of jeans on (considering it was Hogsmede) and a pretty creme blouse on. She waited there for a repy from the new professor.

Finishing writing down small notes, a small knock came from the door. Taking a glimpse up, Rachel wondered if it was her brother but deciding to make sure, Rachel jumped up from her seat and rushed to the door. Running a hand down her white shirt and knee length black skirt, Rachel forced a bright smile on her plumped lips before opening the door. Rachel got quite a shock as it wasn't her big brother her had knocked on the door, instead it was a women who looked rather friendly. "Oh!" Rachel said out of shock but still remained smiling, "Hello, you must be a professor here?" She asked the women curiously.

"Yes I'm professor Stuart. The Astronomy professor." She smiled. "I always like to meet the new professors when they arrive." She was trying not to sound American but it was hard she hated sticking out. "So how are you enjoying Hogwarts?" She asked shifting her weight to her left foot from her right.

"It's nice to meet you, Professor Stuart." Rachel said maintaining her smile, "I'm Professor Rachel Higgs, The Muggle Studies Professor." She declared and pushed a piece of her behind her ear. Noticing the women had an American accent but Rach could only hear it very faintly, Rachel couldn't but wonder. "I hope you don't mind me asking, But are you from America?" Rachel questioned twitching an eyebrow, she had also picked up an American accent when she was teaching over there but it wasn't long before she regained her British once again. "It's great, just like when i used to attend here!" Rachel said in a happy tone. "Would you like to come in?" She asked inviting the professor in.

"Sure." Charlene said with a smile. "And yes I'm from America. My parents moved to London when I was younger but I never seemed to lose it." Her Southern accent was starting to kick in now. "I'm from Kansas to be exact." She said with a grin. She was of course proud to be an American but her accent was always something different.

Listen to the woman intently, Rachel played with her diamond engagement ring but her eyes where still glued on the Professor. Once the women finished, Rachel tilted her head to the side " How interesting!" She said and chewed on her bottom lip for a few moments. "Do you miss it?" Rach asked her still very curious, who could blame her though, she was after all a new teacher.

"Kinda. I really miss the large open space and fresh air the most." She said with a smile. "My accent sure fit in a little better." She said with a smile noticing her engagement ring. "Aw so your engaged. If you don't mind me saying." She said with a large smile. "I love weddings."

"Yes, i have to agree. Britain is nothing like America." Rachel said with a small sigh. Laughing softly, Rach had to agree with her once again, "When i only went to America, i stood out like a sore thumb! My British accent was just way too noticeable but then the longer i spent there i began to pick it up and practically forgot about my original accent. Now that I'm back in Britain, I've regained my accent again." Rach explained to her with a chuckle. Bringing up the subject of marriage caused Rachel to tightened her lips, "I was. Twice! The first one didn't work out but the second was just perfect in every way. I would've been getting married next month if i was still in America." She explained staring down at the huge diamond. "I just keep the ring to remind me off him and well it's beautiful!" Rachel stated with a smile.

"Oh. " She said sorry she asked. "Well I never lost my accent which really is a shame. I would give anything for a British accent." She said with a small smile. "Do you want me to tell you about some of the teachers?" She asked.

Looking up, Rachel grinned not bothered that the women asked, alot of people made that mistake because of the ring. "I probably would've thought the same about American accents when i just arrived." Rach told her fixing the chuff's of her sleeve. "Of course!" She said happily, Rachel hadn't met or heard one thing about any of the teachers here and she would be grateful if someone gave her the info.

"OK. Well There is Steve Higgs and I think you might know him well enough." She said with a smile. "Then there is Marisa Brant she's my best friend, she's pretty nice but very emotional do not mention Aaron Brant." She said very seriously. "They've been divorced and they absolutely hate each other." She thought of the others. "Well there is this new guy I really haven't met Benjamin Cook. And then there is Tarquin Vardane he's probably one of the nicest here. Then there is of course Aaron Brant I don't know of his teaching skills but I do know him personally and he's pretty stiff not much humor, next there is Amy Evans who is nice enough though I haven't talked to her all that much, Liam Wood I'm pretty sure is married to Amy Evans and he seems pretty nice, and then there is me. I guess I have the bluest eyes and the most energy." She said with a smile.

"Ah yes, my annoying brother!" Rachel said with a laugh and put her attention back to hearing the other teacher's details. "Liam? Amy? Really? They teach here?" Rach fired questions at her with a huge smile, her old friends actually taught here! Calming down Rachel licked her bottom lip and nodded "Oh, well these teachers sound interesting. I guess i won't get bored." Rach stated with a light laugh and ran and hand through her hair.

"Well it is good you have friends to start out with. I would say the easiest one to get to know is Tarquin Vardane and Marisa Brant. They are both easy going. I would suggest speaking with Marisa before Tarquin well just so you get her before she loses it." She said with a smile. "And what is your brother like?" She asked she talked to him but really didn't get to know him.

"Hopefully, I'll be able to meet up with them as soon as possible. They sound like they are nice people." Rachel said, she was quite happy that there wasn't really anyone she needed to beware of. "My brother? He is a very complicated person. Once you get to know him and if he decides to let you get to know him, he is just amazing! I'm not just saying that because he is my brother though. Sometimes he can be slightly cold and won't let particular people get to know him, Steve is just weird! I feel sorry for him at times, he has let people into his life and they have just broke his heart." Rachel explained remembering Lisa Matthews, Steve's long term girlfriend and first true love.
